DTE ENERGY :
Domino’s Farms and DTE MIGreenPower Commit to Sustainability
Domino’s Farms recently joined with DTE Energy to be a participant in their new MIGreenPower program. This program allows large commercial users to voluntarily commit to purchasing a portion of the energy to power their facility directly from renewable energy sources, like wind and solar. As part of this program DTE is developing a new wind turbine park in mid-Michigan that will have up to 300 megawatts of generation capacity. With Domino’s Farms participation in MIGreenPower fully 20% of the energy used at Domino’s Farms Office Park will be from renewable sources.
This 20% renewable level doesn’t include the energy generated from the DTE Solar Array at Domino’s Farms, just across M-14. Since it was commissioned in 2015, the 1.1 megawatt generation system has produced over 353,000 MWh of clean, renewable power. This is the equivalent of eliminating over 262,000 metric tons of CO2 or planting more than 6,400 acres of trees which would be like planting trees covering twenty-four Domino’s Farms Office Park properties.
All of this is a part of Domino’s Farms commitment to operating the most efficient and sustainable office park in our region, all while doing our part in responsible stewardship.
